Abstract

According to the course guidelines for kindergartens and child centers in Japan, teachers are to provide integrated instruction through children’s play. In order to foster child development in this integrated manner this paper examines the contents of the system of childcare to allow for full understanding. Analyzing case studies the paper attempts to clarify how children are to be instructed and aims to develop an instructional method. Finally, we conclude by showing that childcare workers need to treat one activity from various perspectives to take account of the different stages of child development, in addition to invention and instruction for children to realize their own feelings.
